I look at the Funtrak Paintball Panzer and it makes me think back to the 1965 movie “Battle of the Bulge” when Telly Savalas and the other American tankers rumble out to the flatlands to battle the German Panzers. This small version of a tank could be a scenario team’s favorite friend when it comes to battling. What I like most about the Paintball Panzer is that it is track driven. Most of the scenario paintball tanks out there today use some type of wheeled vehicle and must stay on a road or path to move around. With this tank you can go over a little more.

Phil Parson’s the creator has a background with the British Special Forces and he has created a one-man disposable aircraft for them. He turned his attention towards building a one-man tank and created the tracked Paintball Panzer. They have other ideas for a two man version as well as increasing the size a little.

I think field owners could come up with some interesting ways to use this tank to help increase revenues. Funtrak suggest not only using it for paintball games but you could have races that involve two or more tanks. I think having a two on two or even a four on four tank battle would be a blast. Get a couple of these tanks one red and the other blue and put them on a speedball field and you have the Atari 2600 game “COMBAT”! Wow, now I am showing my age. My thumb started hurting just thinking about that game!

I think this could be a great addition to any field. I look forward to following Funtrak to see what other ideas they come up with. Actually I have a suggestion for you Funtrak…
