Since opening in 2005, Tactical Paintball, located in Harwood, Texas has become known nationwide as a very unique playing field with a heavy Mil/Sim slant. The owner, and driving force behind the field, used his extensive experience as a SWAT officer in Texas as well as his years deployed in the military to build Tactical Paintball and to provide players with a field designed specifically for Mil/Sim play. The “Tips and Tactics of Mil/Sim Paintball” DVD is a way to share his knowledge and lessons learned, and to help advance the level of Mil/Sim play. He is a published author and has written many articles and guides for both the military and civilian law enforcement. He is a member of the prestigious Sergeant Morales Club and was rated in the top 2% of NCOs Army wide when he retired due to combat related injuries.
This project will allow the player to draw on this experience and knowledge, highlighted by instructional video, to help acquire a better feel for the type of tactics and actions useful in Mil/Sim paintball. Using the tried and true “Crawl, Walk, Run” method of instruction used by the US Army, the videos will lead the viewer through the basics of each tactic. The viewer will then be presented with walk-through demonstrations, and up-to-speed action sequences using the very strategies shown against opposing forces.
Squad formations, building clearings, communications, ambushes, immediate action drills and team building are just a taste of the information planned for this series.
